Realme UI 3.0 with Apple Memoji-like Omoji to roll out starting October, Realme GT to get it first

Realme will begin the rollout of Realme UI 3.0 beta this month and the first phone will be the GT. HIGHLIGHTSRealme has announced the rollout of Realme UI 3.0 beta will begin in October. The first phone that will get Realme UI 3.0 is the Realme GT.Some other major phones by Realme will get Realme UI 3.0 in December.Realme has announced the launch of the Android 12 operating system-based Realme UI 3.0 for its entire range of smartphones outside of China. Starting this month, the Realme GT flagship phone will get Realme UI 3.0, although in beta. Realme has not revealed the rollout roadmap for the stable Realme UI 3.0, but if the company is likely to follow last year’s tradition, that should happen within a month or two after the beta rollout.

Realme UI 3.0 is very similar to Oppo’s ColorOS 3 and adopts a similar design language. But there are discernible differences between the two operating systems. Realme said the Realme UI 3.0 “brings many new features of Android 12 and continues the product concept of Seamless Fun, with upgrades in design, fluidity, personalisation, privacy, and functionality.”Here is the roadmap of the Realme UI 3.0 rollout:OctoberDecemberRealme GT Master EditionRealme GT Neo 2Realme X7 MaxRealme 8 ProQ1, 2022Realme X7 ProRealme X50 ProRealme Narzo 50ARealme Narzo 30Realme 8Realme 8iRealme 7 ProRealme C25Realme C25sQ2, 2022Realme X7Realme X3Realme 8sRealme X3 SuperZoomRealme 8 5GRealme Narzo 30 ProRealme Narzo 30 5GWith Realme UI 3.0, you get Omoji, which is essentially Oppo’s take on Apple’s Memoji. These 3D animated emojis imitate your facial expressions and are stored on your phone. I do not forget to drop a Memoji into my chats whenever possible, so I think users of Realme and Oppo phone users are going to like it. You can even use the Omoji on Always-On Display (AOD). AOD itself has been improved with support for photos where the outlines will appear on the screen in the AOD mode. Realme has also claimed the Realme UI 3.0’s Fluid Space Design brings seamlessness to the interface. The OS is already one of the fastest I have used, so I am not sure what scope the company sought with the software. The icons have a new 3D design and feature “a wider range of colours”. There is white space in the new interface that amplifies the sense of calmness when navigating. There is also a new Floating Window 2.0 in the interface.Realme UI 3.0 also brings under-the-hood improvements. The memory consumption is 30 per cent lower while the speed of app launches has increased by 13 per cent. The battery life of the phone will see an uptick of 12 per cent with the new operating system. All of that is possible because of the new AI Smooth Engine, which Realme said, “adds all-around smoothness and reduces power consumption in the underlying logic.”Apart from custom features, the Realme UI 3.0 brings the entire functionality of Android 12. This includes better privacy for location, microphone, and camera, and better notification management.Click here for our site’s complete coverage of the coronavirus pandemic.
